Partnership Spotlight: CUMIS UCV

Cuatro Por Venezuela is proud to partner with CUMIS UCV. CUMIS, “Campamento Universitario Multidisciplinario de Investigación y Servicio,” is a multidisciplinary program of research, investigation, and service for medical students in Venezuela. Students travel to rural areas throughout the country to provide health services to communities that do not have access to hospitals and traditional medicine.

In Maniapure, CUMIS was able to provide services to 421 patients: 190 adults and 231 children, from various communities including Corozal, Cerro Pelon, Tortuga, El Palote, Arepital and Quebrada Seca. Cuatro Por Venezuela provided medical supplies and medicine so that the CUMIS students could complete this important work.
