Malaria Crisis Escalates in Venezuela

The malaria crisis in Venezuela is escalating. Last year, there were 240,613 cases of malaria reported to Venezuela’s Ministry of Health, that’s 100,000 more cases that the year before. This year, data suggests that there will be a 63% increase in malaria cases. That estimate is according to projections made by Venezuela’s health experts who are expecting more than 400,000 malaria cases by the end of the year.
